Each Nation has an individual Throne that a player can be chosen to Hold. Holding a National Throne is a Privilege that can be revoked and the Throne can be given to another player. The only National Throne that cannot be taken from the Holder is Astraea, because that is Held by the Administration.

Summoning is necessary to being a Keeper of a Crystal. However, this does not mean that only Summoners can be National Leaders. All Main Characters have the ability to Summon, it is simply less powerful than that by a true Summoner and they do not have the ability to pact with as many Shokanjuu, and those Shokanjuu aren't quite as helpful outside of battle. However, only Main Characters can be chosen to hold a National Throne.

Each Nation has both a Player Military and an NPC Military. To put the NPC Military into place, a template must be filled out and put in a post under the Throne Forum of the Nation in question. An NPC Military *can* be included as part of a Character's Legacy and given to a non-Throne holder, so don't be surprised if a regular player has an Army. In that case, the new Throne holder is expected to create their own NPC Military.

Each Throne holder is expected to fill out a Will in the event of an expected or unexpected death. Those Wills should be posted in the Throne Forum for their Nation.
