Bad news knows no season...

Damnit, some days I wish I never woke up.

It started this morning with text messages and I finally got a call back from my mom and got the details. *sigh* My family doesn't talk to me, like ever, so getting news is rather difficult since I'm usually the last one on the list to hear about anything and when I DO hear, it's usually a matter of "well, this WAS happening..."

So the news is this. My Step-Father, who was, for all intents and purposes my ONLY parent for a number of years while I was in high school... has inoperable esophageal cancer. They don't know yet if it's spread. They don't even know what their options are at the moment.

But it's not looking good.

So yeah, my life has gone to complete crap... yet again.
