Spell Strength and Class/Race Choices
It's fairly easy to understand that Firaga is stronger than Fira and Fira is stronger than Fire, but what about a Fira cast by a Warrior Dwemer as opposed to a Fire cast by a Black Mage Elf? Or a Fire cast by a Dullahan anything?
All characters are not equal in all things. Summoners are going to be better at Summoning than non-Summoners, and that's above the fact that they get more Summons more quickly. Mage classes are going to be better at casting magic than non-Mages. That's just a fact of life.
The Warrior Dwemer would likely cast a Fire that looks about like this . . .
But should that Dwemer be a Black Mage, then it would look more like this . . .
. . . which is, rather interestingly, the strength of a Warrior Auran or Merrow when casting magic.
Native Artegal races are not as magically adept as the Crystalborn races, so the Warrior Elves and Moogles as well as the Black Mage Auran and Merrow would cast a Fire that looks like this . . .
Mage classed Elves and Moogles would cast a Fire at this strength . . .
And the ultimate spellcasters, the Dullahans, would have a Fire spell that looks like this . . .
. . . in case you were wondering why Dullahans are Admin-Approval only. There is no way that I am going to allow that kind of firepower in hands that I don't know can handle it without going power-mad.
I hope this is helpful.
